One of the many treasures of Pointe Coupee's culture is the Creole heritage - its language, traditions and history. Les Creoles de Pointe Coupee celebrates its 12th year preserrving the unique Creole language of Pointe Coupee.

The foundation of every culture is its language. Les Creoles de Pointe Coupee is the only ongoing organization in Louisiana whose members are native speakers of the nearly 300 year-old Louisiana tradition.

If you would like to hear the poetic and rhythmic words spoken by your ancestors - while at the same time learning common dialogue and phrases - participate in our complimentary Creole language classes.
